Configuring Auto-Conversion

Auto-Conversion is configured from the Auto-Conversion page in the Distribution Classifier tab.

Enable/Disable Auto Conversion

Auto Conversion is enabled or disabled with the toggle button on the top of the auto-conversion settings page. When enabled, the auto-conversion rules will be run on all new leads in the system. To run the auto-conversion rules against existing records, use the backfill wizard.

Delay Filter

The delay filter is an optional rule that must be met before any Leads are classified for Auto-Conversion. This can be used to ensure that classification happens after other pre-processes that are required to happen first.

The delay filter for each object type is shared across the Classifier. As Auto-Conversion works with Leads exclusively, any delay filter will be shared with Lead Matching and any Lead classification for Territories.

Rules

The Auto-Conversion process is defined by one or more rules, which are run in sequence. Each rule is comprised of filters, an action and configuration for that action. If an incoming Lead matches the filter defined in a rule, then the action is performed as defined in the rule. A default rule must be created which will apply an 'Auto-Convert' or 'Do Not Convert' action to all records not covered by another rule.

Rules can be added by clicking the Add Rule button at the bottom of the rule list. If a Default rule does not currently exist, it must first be created. Click here for more information on configuring rules.

Rules can be deactivated and deleted from the row menu. Once created, the default rule cannot be deleted.

Rules can be reordered using the menu in the rule list header, which will become enabled once you have created more than one non-default rule. Default rules always run last.

Rules must be activated before they are run during classification. You can activate a rule by clicking the row menu for that rule and selecting 'Activate.'
