GDPR

We are often asked to sign data processing agreements and addendums. These documents are required by the GDPR if one company is processing personal data on behalf of another. However, NC Squared's Distribution Engine is a 100% native Salesforce application.

Distribution Engine does not make us a processor

Distribution Engine is a 100% native Salesforce application, which means that the application and all associated data are stored in the customer's own instance of Salesforce. We do not have any access to the customer's Salesforce instance and, accordingly, we do not act as a processor in this respect. It follows that there is no legal requirement for us to sign a data processing agreement or addendum with respect to this data. Salesforce may act as a processor of personal data here, but we will not.

For more information regarding the implications of a native Salesforce application, see: legal agreement

Temporary support access

In rare cases we may be granted temporary access to a customer's Salesforce instance for support purposes, and it is possible we may, for example, take a screen shot or run a report to help resolve an issue. These screen shots and report might include very limited personal data.

Our End User Licence Agreement ensures the confidentiality and security of this data, and that our handling complies with the GDPR.
