It is possible to adjust the weightings of the team members to alter the ratio of assignments. E.g. giving someone a weighting of 2 means they will receive twice as many assignments as someone on a weighting of 1. There are two ways to apply weightings to members:
- Individual Weighting - use the sliders to control the weighting for each member
- Tag-Based Weighting - set weightings for each tag and apply tags to members

Individual Weighting
- From a distribution team, select Weighting and caps
- Move the sliders to control the weighting. The percentages listed will be a representation of the ratio assigned.
- Save.
- Enable weighting on your distributors in order to use these weightings as part of round robin or load balancing. See Enable weighting on distributors section below.

Tag-Based Weighting
Tag-based weighting allows you to assign the weighting based on tags assigned to a team member. This makes it easier for you to manage weighting for groups of team members.
Before using Tag-based weighting, you will first need to set up and assign your Tag Collection
- From a distribution team, select Weighting and caps
- Click "Switch to tag weighting" in the top-right corner.
- Set a default weighting for Team Members that do not have the designated tags.
- Choose the "Tag collection" you want to weight by.
- Add each tag and set its desired weighting impact.
- Save.
- Enable weighting on your distributors in order to use these weightings as part of round robin or load balancing. See Enable weighting on distributors section below.

Enable/Disable weighting on distributors
Weighting is automatically enabled for all distributors. If you want it to only apply to some distributors, you'll need to disable it for each.
- Select Distributor-level settings.
- Click a distributor to open the panel.
- Disable distributor weighting if Enabled is currently highlighted in green.
- Click save in the panel.

How does weighting work
Weighting affects the number of assignments made to your team members on each round robin cycle. Weighting is simply using a ratio on each run - it does not look at historical data to decide how many assignments to make. The examples below explain how this works:
- A team member on a weighting of 1 will receive one assignment on every round robin cycle.
- A team member on a weighting of 2 will receive 2 assignments on every round robin cycle.
- A team member on a weighting of 0.5 will receive an assignment every 2 round robin cycles (they are skipped every other cycle).
- A team member on a weighting of 0.25 will receive an assignment every 4 round robin cycles (they are skipped for 3 cycles).
