Booking types contain the configuration for bookings created by your team. This includes information such as the duration of the booking, the list of hosts and the host selection.
A booking type is associated with a Salesforce object, like Leads, Cases or Opportunities, and can only be used to book meetings relating to that object.
To view your booking types, click the Booking Settings tab; you will then see the Booking Types list. The booking types list displays all booking types in your org. This list can be filtered by object type, or you can search by booking type name.

Adding Booking Types
To add a booking type, click the Add Booking Type button, which will launch the New Booking Type window. Give your new Booking type a name, which must be unique across all booking types, and select the object that you want to use this booking type for. When you click Create Booking Type, you will then be taken to the Booking Type Settings page for your new booking type.

Cloning a Booking Type
To clone an existing booking type, click the row menu for the booking type you want to copy, and click the clone button. You will then be prompted for a name for your newly cloned booking type.

Activating/Deactivating Booking Types
Booking types must be activated before Organizers can select them during a handover. To activate a booking type, click the row menu for a deactivated booking type and click the activate button. Booking types can only be activated if they have Booking hosts added.
You can deactivate active booking types to hide them from Organizers. To deactivate a booking type, click the row menu for an active booking type and click the deactivate button.

Editing Booking Types
To edit a Booking Type, click the name of the Booking Type in the list; this will take you to the Booking Type Settings page.
Deleting Booking Types
To delete a booking type, click the row menu for the booking type you want to delete, then click the delete button. This will ask you for confirmation.

Reorder Booking types
You can change the order that booking types appear in the list that Organizers choose from during a handover. To do this, click the page menu and select 'Reorder Booking Types'. This will launch a window where you can drag and drop your booking types into the order that you would like them to be displayed.

Change History
You can view a log of recent changes to booking types and see who performed the change. To access this, click the page menu and select 'Booking Type History'
Accessing Distribution Engine Classifier Fields
Users of Distribution Engine can now use enriched data from the Classifier to help route bookings. Classification fields such as Territories and Stamp Groups are available as Booking Type filters. To access these, select the fields beginning with the 'DE' prefix in the filter field list.
In addition, when booking with Leads, Related Owner assignments can now used matched leads, accounts and contacts as their lookup object. To do this; you can simply select the 'DE Matched' fields from the related owner field selection. This will then look up to the appropriate matched object, if it exists.
