Booking Type Hosts

Charlie Jenkins Updated by Charlie Jenkins

For a booking type, Booking Admins can set which users on your Salesforce org are able to receive or 'host' bookings. To do this, navigate to the Booking Type Settings page for the appropriate booking type and select Hosts from the vertical navigation.

Adding Hosts

You can add a host by clicking the Add Host button. Here you can select from anyone on your org with the 'Booking Host' permission set and a Booking Engine managed package license.

Invitation Emails

If a host is added to a Booking Type who has not configured their connections, they will receive an email prompting them to connect their calendar. You can resend this email at any time by clicking Send Connection instructions from the row menu, or by selecting one or more users and selecting it from the page menu.

Deleting Hosts

To remove a host, click the row menu for the appropriate host and select 'Delete'. This will remove the host from the Booking Type.

Any existing bookings for a removed host will not be affected.

Activating/Deactivating Hosts

Active hosts are able to receive assignments from the booking type. You can activate or deactivate a host by using the row menu for an individual, or by selecting multiple rows and using the page menu.

Host Connections

From the Hosts screen, you can see which connections each user has configured, as well as if a connection is in an error state. Each user must have at least a calendar (i.e., Google or Microsoft) connected to receive bookings.

This article has advice on troubleshooting connection errors.
