Booking Engine comes packaged with three Salesforce Permission sets, each for a different role within the Booking process. For information on how to assign Permission Sets, see the Salesforce documentation.

The permission sets do not overlap, so you may need to add multiple to a user in order to get the required permissions.

Booking Engine Organizer

Booking Engine Organizer allows access to the handover functionality of the Booking Engine component. Organizers can book meetings with prospects and customers on behalf of hosts.

Booking Engine Host

Booking Engine Host allows users to host meetings.

For handover, this enables them to be added as a host on a Booking Type, and to receive bookings from organizers.

Where Book With Me is enabled, Hosts are able to create and share Book With Me links.

Hosts can also be added to Shared Availability Rules which can be used as a booking link for a team of people, or for booking via Web Forms.

It also allows access to Booking User Settings where hosts can configure their calendar/meeting platform connections and set their user preferences around booking.

Booking Engine Admin

Booking Engine Admin grants permission to configure the Booking Engine configuration. Admins can create/edit/delete Booking Types for handovers, modify Booking Settings, and create Shared Availability Rules and Form Connectors.

Admins can also view the Booking Activity for all hosts across the org.

Booking Engine Integration

Booking Engine Integration is required for the Salesforce User that will be used for external service configuration such as Book with Me and Guest Cancel/Reschedule.
