Broccoli Release Notes

Charlie Jenkins Updated by Charlie Jenkins

The Broccoli release brings a range of new features to Booking Engine, designed to make scheduling and management easier for both hosts and guests.

With Book With Me, hosts can share personalized booking links that let guests choose a convenient time without the need for back-and-forth emails. Guests also have more flexibility with the new Cancel/Reschedule option, which adds a simple link to meeting invitations so they can update or cancel if their plans change. Meeting Reminders can now be set up with custom content to prompt guests before a meeting and give them the option to reschedule if needed.

To help with organization, the new Bookings pages give admins and hosts clear views of scheduled meetings across the org or for themselves. User management has also been improved, making it easier for admins to resend invitations and check connection statuses, while hosts can now see and resolve their own connection errors.

Upgrade from Apple

For users who were on the previous Apple release of Booking Engine, you must ensure that the Booking Engine remote site setting is updated to its new setting "https://booking.nc-squared.com" for the Broccoli release. Failure to update this may cause future calendar connections to fail. This article has more details on updating remote site settings.

Additionally, to use the new Book With Me and Guest Cancel & Reschedule Features, you will need to enable external services.

Book With Me

The Book with Me feature allows guests to schedule time with your agents at their own pace.

Each host can create their own booking links, which can be shared directly with anyone who needs to arrange a meeting. When the recipient opens the link, they are able to select from the host’s available times and confirm a booking without requiring back-and-forth communication.

This ensures a smooth scheduling experience and gives agents control over their availability while making it simple for others to book time with them.

This feature requires external services.

Expanded Email Support

Event invites for Booking Types can now contain data fields, which can be populated with the values of fields on the booking object, allowing for dynamic, personalised email content.

Additionally, organizers are now able to edit the content of event invites during a handover.

Guest Cancel/Reschedule

The Guest Reschedule and Cancel feature gives booked guests more flexibility in managing their meetings.

When enabled, guests who have scheduled a meeting through Book with Me or Handover can reschedule or cancel if they are no longer able to attend. When they perform one of these actions, the host of the meeting will be notified of the change.

A reschedule link will be included at the bottom of all invitation emails, allowing guests to update or cancel their booking directly.

This feature requires external services.

Integration with Distribution Engine Classifier

Users of Distribution Engine can now use enriched data from the Classifier to help route bookings. Classification fields such as Territories and Stamp Groups are available as Booking Type filters. In addition, when booking with Leads, Related Owner assignments can now use matched leads, accounts and contacts as their lookup object.

All Bookings & My Bookings pages

The bookings pages provide lists of bookings created through Booking Engine to support troubleshooting and organization.

Users with the Booking Admin permission set can access the All Bookings page, which displays every booking across the org.

Users with the Booking Host permission set can access the My Bookings page, which shows all meetings where they are the host.

Meeting Reminders

Meeting reminders can be configured for both Booking Types and Book With Me. Reminders notify guests of upcoming meetings and provide the option to reschedule if they are unable to attend.

Each reminder can include custom content and is sent to meeting guests at a specified time before the meeting starts.

Improved User Management

The Booking Type Hosts pages have been improved to allow for easier management. Admins are now able to resend connection invitations and view hosts' connection status, including any connection errors. In addition, hosts are now able to view their own connection errors from the connections page.
