The Rhino release of Distribution Engine is here — and it's packed with powerful new capabilities.
Keep your team in the loop with the new Slack integration, delivering assignment notifications directly where they already work. This release also unlocks the ability to assign to roles within Case, Opportunity, and Account teams, giving you greater flexibility to assign . And with support for referencing fields from deeper relationships across Distribution Engine, you can now access more of your Salesforce data throughout Distribution Engine.
Main Features
Area | Name | Description |
Integrations | This feature is currently in Beta release, please contact [email protected] for information about accessing this feature. Distribution Engine can now deliver assignment notifications and SLA alerts directly to team members in Slack. Configured at the Distributor level, you have precise control over the alerts that each team receives - ensuring that the team are notified of important work, but not disrupted by less urgent tasks.
Case, Opportunity & Account Teams | Salesforce optionally allows team members to be assigned not just as record owners, but to specific roles on Cases, Opportunities, and Accounts — giving you a clearer picture of who is responsible for what on each record. This is a native Salesforce feature that must be enabled in your org before use. With the Rhino release, Distribution Engine now supports this feature, allowing you to distribute work directly to these team roles. Once enabled, you can assign users to their default team or to specific roles, giving you full control over how work and responsibility are shared across your team.
App-Wide | Deeper Relationship References | Before the Rhino release, Distribution Engine could only query a single level of relationship when referencing field values. That limitation is now gone. With the Rhino release, you can query up to five levels of relational depth anywhere in Distribution Engine, enabling far more complex logic without the need for formula or roll-up fields. This feature is available throughout the entirety of Distribution Engine. |
App-wide | Updated look and feel for filter creation components | The filter component used across Distribution Engine, for example when creating Distributor or Team filters, has been given a new look and feel. Each rule is now split into colour-coded columns for Field, Condition, and Value, allowing you to more easily parse the contents of a filter at a glance. ![]() |
